VTG MOBILE - BUSINESS SERVICES
Connectivity is no longer a utility. It is infrastructure, and downtime is measured in revenue.
VTG Mobile delivers multi-carrier wireless connectivity to businesses across the United States. Our platform aggregates Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile in a single managed device and routes traffic across whichever network is performing best at that location — as a primary circuit, as automatic failover, or as a dedicated segment for guest access.
We sell to organizations of every size, from single-site operators to enterprises deploying across dozens of locations. You will work the full range. You will be speaking with high net-worth individuals and business owners, providing them with ways to capitalize on the growing telecommunications sector and methods to protect their own businesses as they navigate this new era of technological advancements.
What You'll be Selling:
Service: Failover and Continuity
- The business case you'll be making: Automatic cutover the moment the primary circuit fails. Point of sale, payments, VoIP, and reservations stay live through an outage the customer never sees.
Service: Primary cellular service
- The business case you'll be making: Broadband where wired service is unavailable, unreliable, or quoted with a build-out cost the customer will not pay. Deployed in days rather than months.
Service: Enterprise and Multi-site
- The business case you'll be making: Standardized deployment across an entire footprint under one agreement, one invoice, and one point of contact. These are the accounts that define a strong year.
Service: Mobile and Fleet
- The business case you'll be making: Connectivity for vehicles, field crews, job sites, and temporary locations. Multi-carrier coverage keeps teams online outside any single network's footprint.
Service: Backup and Redundancy
- The business case you'll be making: A second independent path for organizations that cannot tolerate downtime-medical, financial services, logistics, property management.
Service: Guest Networks
- The business case you'll be making: Segmented public access for hospitality, retail, coworking, and multi-tenant properties, isolated from the operational network.
Compensation:
Commission is calculated on the value of each account rather than a flat rate per unit, so larger and multi-site agreements pay proportionally more. The full schedule is reviewed during the interview.
Residual income is the differentiator. Representatives who build a book here are compensated on that book for as long as those accounts remain in service. It accrues over time, which means a new representative earns base plus activation commission in the early months, and the weekly range above becomes typical from approximately month [X] forward.
The Role:
- Build and manage your own book of accounts. Research prospective businesses, identify the decision maker, and initiate contact. Company-generated leads are distributed as they become available.
- Conduct discovery. Identify what the organization runs on its connection, the operational and financial cost of an outage, the number of sites, and the existing carrier relationship.
- Qualify coverage and design the solution for each location, with support from our technical team.
- Present, negotiate, and close by phone, email, and video — including multi-site agreements requiring coordination across several stakeholders.
- Manage the account through deployment and the first thirty days in service. Commission is earned on accounts that remain active, by design.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all activity, opportunities, and pipeline stage.
Qualifications:
- One or more years of business-to-business sales, with documented performance you can speak to in detail.
- Comfort initiating contact with owners, operations managers, and IT decision makers by phone, email, and video.
- Self-directed. You will be responsible for finding accounts, not only for working the ones assigned to you.
- Ability to hold a technical conversation without a technical background — we will train the product.
- On-site in Carlsbad, five days per week. This position is not remote.
- A degree is not required. Experience in telecommunications, managed services, payment processing, or point-of-sale systems is an advantage, as those buyers and decision cycles closely resemble ours.
Benefits: Medical, dental, and life insurance. Paid vacation. Stock options in the company.
